The latest advice from the government

As of Sunday 10th May, the Government have provided citizens with the following advice:

Stay Alert

We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

  • Stay at home as much as possible
  • Work from home if you can
  • Limit contact with other people
  • Keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)
  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Self-isolate if you or anyone in your household has symptoms.

Public Health advice: Covid-19

Please click below for official government guidance and letter from our Headteacher, Mr Jefferies, in relation to Coronavirus planning at Henley-in-Arden School. We would like to stress that currently there is no particular concern at school and this is simply advice we are passing on from Public Health England and the Department for Education.

International Travel Update – Trip and Visits

Our planned ski Visit to Northern Italy at Easter has been cancelled. Please see a statement issued by Interski, our tour operator, here:

As soon as we have any more information from them we will be in touch regarding our next steps but they have 4,000 clients to contact so we will need to wait until we hear from them as their customer agents are not contactable at present whilst they take part in planning and training to support them with dealing with this unprecedented situation for them.

Please be advised that, at present, we are proceeding with all other international visit arrangements for July’s Enrichment Week.  Be assured that we are in touch with the tour operators providing these arrangements and they are keeping us regularly updated.  The tour operators take guidance, and will follow instruction, from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Should advice change from central government about the safety of visiting any of the destinations we are travelling to, we will be in touch; otherwise, you should assume all visits will proceed as planned.

Inclement weather

We are not expecting snow in Warwickshire this week, but with reports of inclement weather due in northern areas of the UK, a reminder that any emergency closures will be notified on the website, on our social media channels and via the School Gateway App messenger service ❄️☃️
