The School has served the rural communities of the ancient Forest of Arden for over half a century and pupils attend from well outside the designated catchment area. It is a non-selective school which provides education for around 650 boys and girls aged between 11-16 and drawn from the entire ability range.
Our aim is to develop competent and confident young adults through our partnership with parents and the wider community. The letters CARE in our ‘motto’ summarise our underlying philosophy. Consideration, Achievement, Responsibility and Endeavour are central to our lively, caring and hard-working environment. We like to recognise and celebrate achievements, and encourage every person to reach their potential.
Our task is shared with parents in a three-way partnership with pupils and teachers. Together, we can promote a love of learning and a sense of community which prepare them for life.
